Iron Mountain is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 8,154. It is the county seat of Dickinson County6.

U.S. Highway 2 (running concurrently with U.S. Highway 141) connects with Michigan State Highway 69 at Crystal Falls, about 20 miles northwest, and with U.S. Highway 8 at Norway, about six miles east. US 141 north merges with US 2 just east of the city. US 141 continues south into Wisconsin. Michigan State Highway 95 connects with Kingsford just to the south and with M-69 east at Randville about 14 miles north.
